Tancredo Wrong This Time
I am for shutting down illegal immigration in the US, and Colorado Rep Tom Tancredo has been one of the most forceful advocates for doing this. It takes courage to do that as a public figure and then have to put up with all of the hate directed your way.
But here Tancredo goes too far in talking conspiracy-like theories about George Bush’s intentions. Read it and then read the rebuttal at the end by Capt. Ed who gets it right.
I hope that this does not become a pattern with Tancredo. Sound leadership is needed on the issue of limiting illegal immigration and preventing just another big amnesty program that is repeated every 20 years or so after enough illegal immigrants build up.

This Norther America superstate is not a as far fetch as some might think. People have forgotten about the Manifest Destiny. If this country was without an expansionist element, why bother with the Louisiana purchase, the annexation of Mexican territories in the West (CA, AZ, NM, etc). On the north, the Canadians had the “opportunity” to join this country during the 1812 war (if they had “liberated” themselves from their British masters).
More recently, people have speculated that some Canadian providences would join the U.S. if they were given the opportunity because of the economical advantages. Or at the very least, opt for the U. S. dollar as the official currency.
The real question is, why should we expand the union northward and/or southward? One can see that Canadians are least speaks the same languague and share a common history. If some Canadian providence did apply for membership, chances are Congress would at least have to consider it because they actually have something to trade. The vast Canadian north already supply a large portion of oil and gas used in this country.
It is much hard to see what we get by annexing Mexico. They have a different culture, and man y of them feel their culture is superior. If this country is not even sure it wants Puerto Rico as a state after 100 years of official affiliation, there is little chance any Mexican providence would be granted statehood.

Trancredo is absolutely right ask why he wants a super hwy running from mexico to Canada with no off or on ramps & all custom inspection will be done by the mexicans, one of the most corupt governments in the world. mexico does nothing to stop there cicizen from iligaly ecrossing in to our country many of them Rape, murder stab and kill americans by drunk driving. And they do absolutely do nothing to stop drug trafficers if fact they help them.& Bush does nothing to stop them.wake Up america before it is to late to save our country.that time is drawing near& near. 25 americans are killed by illigals every day You yelled loud & clear when the muslem terrorest crashed in to the world trade towers Yet narly a word about the 25 americans that are being killed can you count 25 x 364 if you do you will see that tht is three times as many that died on 9/11

I’ve never heard of this 25 Americans are killed by illegal immigrants everyday.
Some quick research indicates there is no data to back this up:

The NAU can’t happen because the Canadian Identity (LOL) is based solely on the idea that they are NOT the US. For Americans (i.e. Estadounidenseit is all basically irrelevant since the elites of both parties seem determined that the US will be absorbed into Latin America through mass, uincontrolled immigration from the south.
